I recently read a pretty interesting article on how we are not in a credit crunch and how we as a society are actually doing pretty damned good. Sure, certain institutions are failing but that really doesn’t have anything to do with us. See, the media plugs all this fear into our system and we eat it. We consume the chaos they produce, and soon we feel “the fear”. Something Hunter S Thompson first coined, that ever gripping monster that could close upon you at any moment, whether it be money, fear in general, or something that you felt like you couldn’t control. And then it has its teeth in you, damned fear, like a little worm biting into your flesh, burrowing into your body, trying to infiltrate all your defenses. But we, unfortunately as a people, consume what they give. It has always been that way since JFK, and has yet to change. I believe we as a nation are smarter and stronger than that…and as a small example have elected Obama as a president. So we are old enough to look past what we wwere spoon fed and understand what we are to do. We’re adults now. Come on.
This article I read, which you should read too tells us that we are actually not in a credit crunch and even though certain companies are biting the bullet, we are great. Unfortunately, most companies are seeing this so-called credit crunch and firing people left and right without explanation. And so suddenly we have a lower employment rate, higher unemployment rate, and we suddenly freak out. Understandably. But listen…this was all fueled by the powers that be, by false realities, and it isn’t true. So hang in there, be strong, and do not consume too much.
We are better than to be consumers. We are byproducts of what we create. So why not produce something we stand by. Why not believe we can pull strong from this “fated” downfall, look at yourself, and grow? Invest in things you might not normally. Become a part of something big. Learn to find a path while everyone scratches their heads wondering what the hell is going on. Success is easy these days. Just stop consuming the crap the media’s shoveling, putter on, and you will become bigger and better than anyone else. They can’t get that…and you come out a very, very smart person. It’s the time to exemplify your intelligence.
Someone once said to me, people can’t create anything new. It’s all already out there. But I have to laugh, because nothing is out there. There’s just old school thoughts that we have always lived by. There are amazing technologies waiting to be discovered, amazing technologies that already exist, that are just being discovered…take solar power, green electricity, Biocells and fuels. Carers are being produced a dime a minute because its open to anyone who has the dedication to learn. We are not at our end but merely on a bridge to another destination. Hop on, stop consuming and become a part of the adventurers, you will show your intelligence and your ability to adapt as a human after all.
